These are the dedicated individuals supporting my vision to improve access to dental care. We are actively applying for funding to develop a free service for the public, but the journey is challenging. To improve dental services, we must adopt a new approach. Direct engagement with the public is crucial. By collaborating as a unified profession rather than acting as isolated individuals, we can collectively promote well-being for all. Let’s come together to make a meaningful impact!
Ouda has been instrumental in improving the design and content of my websites and videos over the past few years. His critical advice has been a tremendous asset in helping us realise my vision.
Over the last few years, Jeremy has provided invaluable IT support, advising me on what is possible and achievable. Merging my various resources onto a robust platform is beyond my capabilities, but in the coming months, Satsuma will help bring it all together.
I have visited Imelda’s lab in Port Louis, Ireland, twice. During these visits, I learned a great deal about how she has developed a streamlined service for providing basic replica partial and full dentures, as well as how to modify existing dentures to create ideal cosmetic solutions within a care home environment.
Jane has extensive experience regarding the ideal requirements for oral care in residential care homes. While the website offers valuable support, nothing compares to the face-to-face courses she delivers, including the CQC requirement for Oral Health Champions.
I discovered Sarah on line during an AMDA webinar, which inspired me to create a short video highlighting her insights. With her extensive experience in treating caries with SDF, she has the potential to significantly reduce mortality from aspiration pneumonia. I had the opportunity to meet her in Portland, and her video was featured as part of my TED Talk. We must learn from her expertise, and she is eager to share her knowledge with others.
Look up her business.
Fiona is a unique force of nature. I met her at the AMDA conference in Portland, where she shared her journey of overcoming barriers and regulations to establish a thriving mobile service. She is eager for all therapists to learn from her experience and inspire others to start their own ventures. We will be arranging a training day later this year, so please contact Fiona directly for details.
Tim and I qualified in Cardiff at the same time and have since worked in eight different countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East. For the last 15 years, Tim primarily focused on teacher professional development before returning to North Wales to coach women’s rugby and ride motorcycles.
